Welcome to the TPSA Scientist-for-a-day group website

Congratulations, you have joined the group! Today we are exploring various areas of science and engineering, trying to figure out if this is "what we want to be/do when we grow up".

A traditional "group webpage" lists the general area, members, funding, alumni, random stuff about the lab and group, see these for a couple of examples:

I made this website to host our projects for the day, and each person will have own their page and upload their results/experiences at the end of the day (hopefully).

Some of what are we going to do today:

• Extract the DNA of a strawberry - microbiology
• Program a game using python - software development
• Hookup a solar panel - engineering
• Galaxy Zoo - astrophysics
• Create some lotion - chemistry
• Extract some natural products - chemistry
• Have a seminar, talk with scientists across the country (chemistry professor, nuclear engineer, and possibly a nurse or 2) with refreshments - color changing tea (more chemistry)
